Friday Finds - August 12th, 2011

Hey friends!
Sorry that I have been MIA again, my computer crapped out on me and decided to stop working during my FINALS. Why does that always happen? I will never understand! Anyways my apologies but lets get going on this weeks Friday Finds!
I was shopping along at MOA and decided to venture into Marshalls to do some damage to my wallet and I of course immediately went over to the shoe department where surprisingly their selection has gotten much better in the recent months! I found a pair of polo shoes for Derek but decided to pass on them since he probably wouldnt fit into them for another 6 months or so and then found a pair of BCBGeneration high heels for myself! They are gorgeous and I love them so much and I scored them for only $39.00 DEAL!

They are a beautiful beige suede/leather combo pump. I will be for sure sporting these at my best friends wedding in a month! I think everyone should check out the Marshalls shoe department.... Except leave those pretty green Jessica Simpson heels becuase I want them when I go back next week ;)

Its my best friend Ashley's bachelorette party tomorrow night! I cant wait, SUPER SUPER EXCITED!!

Casual Friday + Friday Finds

Hey everyone! How did your work week go?! Hopefully well :)

Remember those smoking slippers that I talked to you about a week ago? Well guess WHAT! They are all mine now! These were my perfect FRIDAY FIND because they were originally $130 dollars but guess how much I just scored them for at Bloomingdales today? $35 BUCKAROOS! Thats right, you read that correctly $35 dollars! I cant believe it, I had to snatch them up right away. Look how gorgeous these shoes are, Im obsessed!

According to my shoe guy these Sam Edelman smoking slippers were not mass distributed so they marked them down pretty low to get them out of stores, score for me! 

Also, today was denim Friday today at work and I of course jumped on the opportunity to wear jeans and be a little more casual for the day! It was nice to break from my daily routine to wear something new, so this is my take of business casual; what do you guys think?!

 Pretty cute and simple, I like it like that!

I am wearing an Aqua blazer that can be found ONLY at Bloomingdales, House of Harlow necklace, F21 bracelet, JCrew Matchstick denim (I only buy my jeans from JCrew becaues they fit perfectly and last forever. They might be a bit spendy but you will notice the difference in quality, I promise!) and last but not least Sam Edelman flats!

Gilt Groupe & House of Harlow

Have you ever heard of giltgroupe.com? Im sure that you have, because what fashionista/frugalista hasnt?! They have the most amazing sales from some of the most coveted designers around. I have a love/hate relationship with Gilt Groupe; I love that they have some of the best sales around but I hate how they take my money from me ;)
I have ended up spending more money than I would like but they thats okay because my son is dressed cute and so am I with the best clothes and accessories.
My favorite find from Gilt Groupe has to be the House of Harlow necklaces and bracelets that I recently purchased, they are to die for and I got so many compliments today on my necklace and bracelet combo! :) Woohoo for compliments!

Last Saturday Night

Thats my revision to Katy Perry's 'Last Friday Night' song, which I cant get enough of!
So anyways last night Carrie and I got dolled up to go to her boyfriend's fight at the Target Center - WAY TO GO PAUL!!! Big win :) Then we went to his after party at Seven downtown! It was a blast. I had my fair share of drinks, we all did.

I am wearing a Silence+Noise dress from Urban Outfitters, necklace from F21, Shoes are Paprika found at Heartbreakers Uptown and my clutch is the Tory Burch Reva Bombe Leather Clutch. 

Mz. Carrie and I! She is wearing a F21 dress and John Hardy bracelet - Smashing! Love the animal print!! 

 In the limo - we ride in style! Carries clutch is Mat & Nat - Did you know that their linings are made from recycled plastic bottles and that their leather is vegan? I think that it is awesome that designers are now being ethical but can still make beautiful handbags and wallets! LOVE!

It was such a great night! We saw a lot of fashion do's and donts, which was highlighted at the end of the night by my great detest of this girl in a pink cardigan with black beaded flowers on it....

Friday Finds - July 22nd

I was having kind of a blah day today and I didnt really find any good deals, partly because I wasnt looking. But this is what I found today for my Friday Finds!

I seem to be really liking orange/red hues lately! They are perfect for summer and fall! I will be sporting this cute little dress tomorrow night! :)

Smoking Slippers

I found these awesome shoes today at work while I was browsing around the shoe department and was immediately attracted to them because they are leopard print and 2nd because they are Sam Edelman! I asked my trusty shoe guy what he thought about them and he told me that he really really liked them and called them smoking slippers, I have never heard this name before but hey I will roll with it.
He promised me that we will be seeing a lot more of this style of shoe for fall and personally I am super excited because I really like em! I will probably pick up a pair (actually probably will buy the leopard ones, they are so cool!)

What do you guys think?! Do you like em? Will the trend catch on? I think they are funky and even though these are a little far out there I think that we will for sure see them in more subdued colors obviously and some funky prints like these! I think everyone should buy a pair for fall! :)

Here I am today at work with my new Tory Burch Tallis Tote - Cute huh?! Sorry about the lockers, thought they would be a good back drop! I am also sorry about my arm in that weird position! ;)
